ONE de FULL (part 2)

Dear Friends,
Many thanks for your replies to my most recent article in which I spoke about Life as being ONE-DE-FULL.
One dear friend wrote to me:

“I am struggling with your challenge for us. I’m feeling so disheartened at the insanity of our current society. I am in Margaret River, South West WA.. I went to a rally today against a huge coal mine, just one of 20 proposed mining leases in the area. There are plans for an oil rig too. This will be so damaging ecologically, and    the huge companies world wide think only of profit. I do accept that all is Divine, that everything changes, but it   is so hard for me to accept the change of 17 kms of beautiful State forest turned into sawdust for a road for coal to be trucked out quietly, without driving it through the tourist town. Or to accept the changes to the majestic river once the water has been contaminated by draining the water table to support the mine.

I used to be able to see it all as part of a balance, and trusted God. Lately it feels hard to celebrate in gratitudemy love for God, because I feel so hopeless, that I face such greed, that the only thing that has power in this   society is money, and the fact that when rare animal species are affected, water compromised etc it is no more    than a nuisance in the way of making more and more money. I feel almost wrong to be happy while all this  happens.

I feel fear for our earth. I feel hopeless and frustrated. I can consider the ultimate eternity of what is True, that    nothing material lasts forever, and that what is real (Love / God) can never die. But at the same time I feel deeply saddened by the degradation of our sacred earth, it seems so disrespectful to Spirit, to that which supports us.

So many sensitive people I speak to are struggling too. Not wanting to be part of such a destructive society, feeling that they can’t continue to ‘play the game’ and pretend everything is okay.
I am being presented with a view by many friends that we need to just stay connected to Spirit / God in our hearts, and concentrate on love and that which is in line with our integrity, ignoring thoughts that are aligned with   fear. Sometimes this seems too ideological though when in reality the greed, polluting and craziness continues,     although there are wonderful sustainable solutions. Accepting is a big challenge…”.

I totally understand the writer’s frustration and oftentimes feelings of hopelessness.

There was once a group of ten men came together because they had been told that if they gathered ten people together they could change the world. They held a meeting at which one person duly counted them off to make sure everyone was present. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9. He stopped. What had happened to Number 10? Another member of the group offered to check the numbers: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9. He stopped. Maybe he’s running late? Maybe he had an accident getting here suggested a third man……Or he had to work back proposed a fourth…..Maybe his wife forbade him from coming ventured a fifth……Or he changed his mind proffered a sixth…..What if he has had a heart attack in his car inquired a seventh…..or been set upon by thugs on his way added the eighth…..I think we should all go look for him recommended the ninth…..to which the tenth – who had simply failed to count himself in his original counting – heartily agreed. So they all went out to find the Tenth Man……

We are constantly looking outside ourself for ourself.
We forget to look within.
And we also forget that One’s Self is ONE Self.

What we find when we go outside ourself will always be lack, hurt, fear, greed, pain, selfishness, worthlessness and disappointment – limitations of every kind – at least that is what we’ll find in a world which promotes these limiting ideals. And this world, thus far, has thoroughly done so.

The above letter is sad testament to it.

However, society is rapidly approaching its moment of truth when our dysfunctionality as a life-force reaches its natural state of disintegration and we transform ourselves and our society by awakening to who we really are….

This is where you and I are headed, ready or not.
Goodbye the world we have known.

Hello the world that is coming!

Society is rapidly changing – the old ways are on their way out, the new more conscious ways are speedily moving in.

I am speaking economically, politically, socially, religiously, industrially, environmentally.

Dr Judy Moss has written that it is a fact that human stem cells have the potential to become anything – bone, muscle, skin…Scientific research shows that the only difference determining the end result is the environment they are bathed in.

So it is with people. If we bathe ourself in the existing negative external world we will continue to be negative. We simply won’t fit in with the newly evolving world. Like dinosaurs we will slowly die out. But if we bathe ourself in the uplifting and inspiring real inner world we will offer ourselves the chance to evolve positively – and to be part of this new revolution of awareness that is taking place now.

One-De-Full holds out the sure promise that the One (we already are!) is FULL of Light, of Love, of Peace, of Truth,  of Co-operation, of Compassion, of Joyfulness, of the sweet delights of eternal existence. This is where the world is heading. But we won’t find it ‘out there’ in the negativity – but ‘in here’ in the truth of existence. It’s a choice we each make in each moment.

This week don’t let the negatives hold you back or deter you from your focus. Envision the new world so clearly that you live it in your every moment now. Right now. Just where you are. Just as you are.

Join the future of humanity today. Future generations will thank-you. Because for them life will be wonderful.
And for one’s Self we will find One Self.

And that, we will find, will be ONE de FULL, too!

SOUL LIGHT – TWENTY TWO

Life is Wonderful!

Life is wonderful.
I’m sure you’ll agree – how could you not?
Life, everywhere, and in every instant, is always wonderful.
I can see you starting to waiver…..surely, you ask me, it’s not always wonderful, is it?
What about floods, fires, famine, foreclosures, feuds, fighting and other fearful happenings – they can’t be viewed as wonderful, can they?
Certainly not, I answer.
But my original statement didn’t include the vicissitudes and fortunes of life: it simply said ‘Life is Wonderful’.
In other words,
Life is ONE-De-FULL.

Life is ONE.
We can surely all agree with this in several ways…..
1. All Life is One, simply expressing Itself in multitudinous ways.
This means that there’s really no innate value difference between one thing and another – all are equally a part of the Whole.
When we stop artificially comparing and valuing one thing against the other, we start ACCEPTING the Divine by accepting what is.
Can you do this?
Will you start to do so this fortnight?

2. All Life is One, simply expressing Itself in infinite forms.
This means that all is constantly and continually changing – and that all change happens within the Essence and Existence I call the Divine. Change isn’t bad, it’s inevitable and natural. Nothing stays the same.
When we stop artificially trying to stop change (or modifying it to our own presumed needs), we start ACCEPTING the Divine by accepting change in and through our Life.
Can you do this?
Will you start to do so this fortnight?

3. All Life is One, simply expressing Itself eternally.
This means that nothing dies, although everything changes – and that holds true for humans beings as much as it does oxygen, lead, plutonium, yesterday’s sunset and your last thought. How could a part of the Divine die?! What could it die to? Being eternal, everything simply evolves.
When we stop viewing life as birth and death – a busy window in the middle of an endless pane of nothingness – we start ACCEPTING the Divine by accepting the eternal continuity of ourselves and everyone and everything else.
Can you do this?
Will you start to do so this fortnight?

Three simple challenges for you this week!
I shall continue this topic next time, including exploring more fully Life is ONE-De-FULL.
In other words, this One Life is also FULL of its own Livingness.
Which means that nothing is which is not of that One Life.
And nothing is lacking within that One Life, either.
Can you accept this?
Will you start to come from this perspective this fortnight?

A survey of 12,000 Australians has just found that over 50% of us don’t like muslims; around 25% don’t like jews; over 35% don’t even like indigenous Australians.
So an Islamic member of the Kurkudgeree tribe has an 85% chance of being disliked.
And that’s before he opens his mouth…..
It’s the same with supposedly minority, fringe and alternative groups throughout the world.
We all have a long way to go.

PHYSICAL LIFE – The Ultimate Gift

Over the last thirty years I have encountered thousands of people who felt that Life was, at best, an endless challenge and, at worst, a devilish curse. I have met a great many people who wished to quit it. Some did.

What do you think Life is?

A tough trial, a hard lesson, a sick joke, an endless challenge to combat….or maybe just an act of ‘nature’, a mistake, the effect of colliding molecules, a momentary illusion in an endless void,,,,, or maybe an opportunity to maximise, an interesting task to finish or a special purpose to achieve?

It’s really none of these things (although it may very well seem to be so whilst we remain in various degrees of unaware!).

It is a gift.

It is the Ultimate of Gifts.

Physical life embraces our state of Spirit-hood. Our Spirit-hood is our inner state of being – and we all have this state within us, of course. This is the very essence of WHO we be – joy, love, peace, bliss, co-operation, trust, faith, sincerity, authenticity, patience, selflessness and wholeness to mention just a few of its descriptions.

But physical life also embraces our state of Human-ness. Our human-ness is our outer state of being. This is the very essence of HOW we be our Spirit-hood – of our feelings, sensations, desires, wishes, yearnings, attractions and repulsions.

It is reflected out to the world as our behaviour.

And it reflects the level of absorption, awareness, embrace and one-ness that we have achieved with our Spirit.

When it reflects a lack of connection to our Spirit we see it as dysfunctional in its actions.

When it reflects a total connection to Spirit we see it as One-ness, wholeness, holiness.

For most of us, we sit somewhere in the middle:  we reflect a small level of true functionality, of deep awakening to the angelic energies that exist within us.

And this is the gift: that rather than simply being in any state of existence we are able to be in our chosen state knowingly with a full range of feelings, sensations and gratitudes.

Instead of simply being joy, through the medium of life we can express joy abundantly.

Instead of simply being love, through the medium of life we can express love deeply.

Instead of simply being peace, through the medium of life we can know peace richly.

Instead of simply being co-operative, through the medium of life we can be co-operative purposefully.

Instead of just being – like all the angelic realms – through the medium of life we can express our being-ness with a richness, a depth, a passion and fullness that arises from our feelings and sensations.

We can experience feeling the enormity of our deepest being.

This is the Ultimate Gift.

It is given to us – not to throw away as too hard, or too abstruse, or too ridiculous when we have lots more important things to do like earning another dollar or buying another car….

It is given to us as a Gift.

As the Ultimate Gift.

Life allows us to be consciously HERE expressing ourselves fully with absolute awareness, fully understanding who we are and what is important – and being it with ALL of our feelings, our intentions, our desires, enthusiastically and knowingly.

Points to ponder this fortnight:

How are you going to use this Ultimate Gift this year to move yourself toward your innate greatness?

How will you embrace more of this Gift and express your deepest being, free of ego, in 2011?

SOUL LIGHT – TWENTY

The New Year

Dear Friends,

As 2010 gently moves into history we are each offered further opportunities to express the Divine as we find it within us.

Many of us embraced our Light in wondrous ways during the last twelve months; and have thus enjoyed enormously fulfilling personal lives.

Many of us became much more aware that there was much more to us; and thus held aloft the rich promise of better times and greater spiritual abundance in the future.

All of us during the year have almost surely been challenged – both by the allure of society’s illusions and by our own limited faith in our beliefs. Probably all of us – at some time – have faltered and slipped from the Path, at least for a while.

Thankfully, we remember that for every two steps we take forward we always take one step back in order to ground our new understandings within the three-dimensional physical and societal framework of our lives.

Each of us can greatly benefit by establishing a blueprint to use as we move into deeper connection with our Divinity; and there is no time quite as good as the coming of a seemingly New Year for developing such a blueprint.

I encourage you to formulate your own Blueprint.

It can be as simple – or as detailed – as you need.

To help you by offering an example, let me share with you my own…..

1. To see everyone and everything as the Divine

2. To treat everyone and everything with respect

3. To ‘own’ nothing and to be trustee for everything

4. To accept what has happened with equanimity; and what is happening with grace

5. To strive to more fully become that which I already AM

6. To speak only positive, uplifting, healing words

7. To stay awake (and thus break personal addictions)

8. To act consciously and co-operatively from Love

9. To always recognise the new in every moment, thought, act and opportunity

10. To be continually grateful and graceful

What is your blueprint for 2011?

How resolute are you about following it?

A building is only as stable as its blueprint; and only as reliable as its builder.

SOUL LIGHT – NINETEEN

Christmas 2010

Christmas brings us the remembrance that Jesus lived.

Theologians and historians of every religious persuasion now agree that Jesus was born, probably toward mid-year somewhere around 2016 years ago. All agree he was a religious trailblazer who single-handedly established the scholastic, moral and religious under-pinning of European society for the next 2,000 years.

He was without doubt the world’s most influential thinker and Teacher since history has been recorded.

He was a Giant of a Man.

His birth was particularly significant – not (for me) as an exclusive event of supernatural proportions but rather as the birth of commonsense and truth.

His was the birth of Light in a society dominated by darkness; of Love in a world tormented by violence.

Above all else this man lived his truth: and that truth, simply stated, was that the most important thing in the world is a person’s relationship with God/the Divine/The Essence.

Nothing else matters.

Nothing else is real.

Nothing else has any substance or permanency – all else is a sham, an illusion teetering into delusion for many.

Jesus lived as if God mattered; as if ONLY God mattered.

He lived as if God was real; as if ONLY God was real.

He lived as if living the life of God-being-man was the only thing worth doing.

For Jesus, nothing else mattered.

And that is the legacy, the truth, the standard for life which he shared with everyone he could.

His teaching is as valid today as it was 2,000 years ago.

It is surely the only teaching that leads unhesitatingly to healing, to wholeness and to One-ness.

It is surely the only teaching that leads unerringly to truth, to love and to co-operation.

His teachings lead the Seeker to the evolution of humanity: we break out of our primitive and reactive ego-self centredness and step into the awakened role of the Conscious Being of Light that He had already become.

He encouraged every one of us with every breath he took and with every moment he lived to find the Truth of our Being – to experience God first-hand with every breath we take and every moment we live.

This is not Christianity as it has been taught in the past.

This is Spiritual Humanity, the key to our future.

Jesus was its Supreme Teacher.

How appropriate it is for all of us to recognise the birth of this absolutely Ordinary Man.

A Man so Ordinary (yet utterly rare) with a Teaching so Ordinary (yet utterly rare) that Teacher and Teaching can only be termed as utterly Extra-Ordinary.

Only God matters.

Only God IS matter.

Nothing else matters except expressing that God-energy as we find it, deep within, moment to moment without end.

Just like Jesus did.

All else is simply useless, worthless, futile play acting.

May each of you enjoy a happy, peace-full, love-filled Christmas!!

SOUL LIGHT – EIGHTEEN

Dear Friends,

This article is the 200th I have written specifically for this emailed newsletter.It has given me immense joy to write them and to share them with you – but now I must turn my attention to my books, three of which remain incomplete, with others still awaiting my focus.To help this process I shall send out just one deeply meaningful article each month.Below is a statement of my most sacred beliefs, those that have guided me for many years and been the foundation of all I share and all I am.They were channelled through a wondrous Spirit Being, Mordechai, who has been my constant Spirit Companion for over 20 years now.

HONOURING – the Path of Discipline.

Religions and cults tend to love Commandments and Rules.

The Old Testament offers 613 Commandments.

Theravadin buddhist monks follow 227 Rules (that’s if you’re a male; there’s a lot more if you’re female).

General society constructs itself almost entirely through rules – no dogs allowed on the beach; no parking here; stand for the judge; stand for the National anthem; that’ll cost you a $400 fine; stand back from the yellow line; no spitting; no humour when boarding the plane; this must be paid by the 30th; no nudity here; wait for the lights; wait in line; take a tag; queue in an ordely manner; quote this reference number; no smoking in here; no smoking that anywhere; pull over; fill in the form; no trespassing; keep off the grass; close the gate; you’re late!

Amongst those who have achieved a reasonable level of spiritual discipline such rules and regulations are totally unnecessary.

Instead of a world that commands obedience and uniformity, we live in a world that honours co-operation and courtesy.

In this world, Honour rules supreme – yet, this is an honour based not on ego and illusion but an Honour grounded and guided by living truths and spiritual understandings.

Instead of the abused and ignored Ten Commandments I offer you – as a gift to a beloved – the richness and sureness of my own Ten Honourings, as channelled through Mordechai…..

HONOUR THE GOD WITHIN

(Within which is the Kingdom of Heaven, which is DIVINE LIFE)

HONOUR THE GOD WITHIN EVERYONE ELSE

(and at every level of spiritual  existence, knowing all is One, for this is SPIRITUAL UNITY).

HONOUR THE IMMORTALITY OF THE SOUL

(and strive for its conscious expression within your Being, for this is REAL TRUTH).

HONOUR THE PATH OF ETERNAL PROGRESS

(knowing all happens safely, as is meant, which is REAL TRUST).

HONOUR OUR LIVING PLANET

(and all who share her beauty and her bounty, for this is DIVINE DIVERSITY).

HONOUR THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT: LOVE!

(which is pure DIVINE EXPRESSION).

HONOUR THE TEACHINGS OF SPIRIT

(given you by the teachers & examplars of many paths – both past & present – for this is SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING)

HONOUR THE GREATEST HUMAN ACHIEVEMENT

(which is authentic spiritual Life, for this is DIVINE WILL).

HONOUR WISDOM, HEALTH, SERENITY, PEACE, JOY, ABUNDANCE AND FEARLESS LIVING

(for this is WHOLENESS).

HONOUR THE SILENT VOICE WHICH YOU HEAR WITHIN

(for that is REAL FAITH).

The Sikhs have a beautiful saying which some of them chant:

Bahaar Khoja Tai Bharm Bhalvi

It means: everything is inside oneself not outside, if you look for it outside you will find baseless illusions.

One: Trees moving in the wind – As soon as I shift my focus to leaves, dancing and swaying in the wind, I receive an immediate sense of the very ‘aliveness’ of nature and the mystery of the world.

Two:  Eye Contact – Looking into your eyes, something shines back at me. When I look with love in my heart, a meeting takes place that evokes wonder and joy.

Three: Clouds – Contemplating clouds creates in me a mood of spaciousness, expansiveness and freedom.

Four: Baby Laughter – Harmonious joy, unrestrained and pure. (It should be recorded and played to people in hospital.)

Five: Images of Crop Circles  – Without needing an explanation, these wondrous patterns fill me with a sense of wonder, fascination, mystery and reverence.

Six: Music – At any moment, I can sing and dance, shifting my mood at will, soaring with Grace.

Seven: Lovemaking! Uniting consciously with my lover, an everyday act becomes a sacred ritual, symbolizing the dissolution of duality into the Oneness of the Universe.

There is no actual hierarchical order from 1-7.

1.       Staring up into the cosmos on those black bush nights gazing into the trillions of stars, planets and galaxies is an undeniable wonder. It never ceases to take my breath away. Seeing those images come back from outer space of planet Earth suspended in that very same pitch black with its orbiting moon for night-light and its very own sun for day-light just adds to that wonder. To know that small blue planet is just teeming with millions of life forms and that all boundaries and borders between people and nations are meaningless in that vastness. To see images from the Hubble telescope of distant galaxies never fails to shocked me into a deep stillness and silence. Please check out your night sky tonight and check out the images coming from Hubble to be totally blown away by the sheer wonder of it all. Who needs television?

2.       The wonder of watching the plants, grasses and trees drinking up the rain in a summer storm after days or weeks of searing heat. The wonder of raindrops hanging like twinkling gem stones from the branches and casting rainbows through my garden. The little birds splashing with delight in the steamy puddles and the cacophony of frogs celebrating well into the evening. A cool dip in the rainwater dam. Bloody wonderful.

3.       Any baby creature thing that still has the god -light shining out of its eyes from just arriving here on planet Earth is a wonder of wonders!

4.       The wonder of going to bed at night with food in the belly, a roof over my head and love in the heart. The wonder of arising to a fresh day with the no mistakes in it and a smile in the heart.

5.       Human creative talents such as music, art, song, writing, building, designing, medicine, science & dance and all the very other human qualities that come with the gift of just being our own unique and  wonderful self.

6.       Nature’s billions of wonders from every view you could ever imagine or take in from rocks, to oceans, to plains, to rivers, to mountains, to deserts, to colours, to sounds, to tastes, to textures, to fragrances, to flowers, to fruit, to creatures from dawn to dusk. The wind, sun, sand and water on bare skin.  The wonder of sensing of the life force from within and without and the realisation that we are that nature. To understand deeply that we are not separate from it, never were and never will be.

7.       To feel the compassion and love exchanged between my multi-dimensional family and me. Meeting someone for the first time and knowing that they are no stranger. To witness and experience the beauty that unfolds daily even in the most challenging of circumstances. Spontaneous moments when two hearts touch each other and all boundaries dissolves and there is no ‘other’. The wonder of the mystery of actually being here at all and not having to understand why?

SOUL LIGHT – SIXTEEN

THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD

A recent study asked what are the 7 Wonders of the Modern World?

Although a minority of people differed, in general terms people proposed, in order of importance:

1.     The Great Pyramid of Giza

2.     The Taj Mahal

3.     The Grand Canyon

4.     The Panama Canal

5.     The Empire State Building

6.     St Peters Basilica

7.     The Great Wall of China

Six of the seven were built by the labour of slaves and hired men; all of them are claimed as real estate possessions by varying groups of people…..

Most are subject to attempts by others to exceed their size, breadth, beauty or technical proficiency.

Might I suggest that NONE on this list is actually a wonder at all.

Rather, one is a remarkably visual reminder of the boundless and infinite grandeur of nature whilst the other six are gallant, if momentary, attempts by Man to express himself on the canvas of Life. Given a little time they’ll all return to dust.

My list is as follows:

1. The wonder of Living.

That there IS life, that I am alive is so awesome, so wondrous and so remarkable that it leaves me breathless to even consider it.

Nothing else is so immediately wonder-full. Nothing else compares with the livingness of THIS moment. Living is, for me, the ultimate wonder, the ultimate reality for which I am boundlessly filled with gratitude.

2. The wonder of Loving.

That I AM Love is so delightful, so sweet, so rich in abundance and fulfilment that I am left speechless by its force & splendour.

Nothing else fulfils my every need so wonder-fully. Nothing else compares with its joyousness and absolute delight. Everything

I need, I am – for I am love. Wow, it surely couldn’t get better than that!

3. The wonder of Laughing.

That I can express myself, my inner being, is so wonder-full itself! And when I do so, when I express my inner state of peace and joy and delight and pleasure I cannot help but laugh with the absolute gentleness of safeness, sureness, wholeness and certainty

that all that is, Is All That Is. In perfect contentment, I laugh blissfully.

4. The wonder of Knowing.

That I know I AM, and know I am Love, is made more wonder-full by my knowing that I KNOW. I know every truth: I know, deep within, that I am Spirit, that I am safe, that I am a part of (although seemingly apart from) the Whole, that I am OK.

I already know everything that matters because intrinsically I know my True Self, no matter what my brain may tell me.

5. The wonder of Other Like Beings.

That I get to share all these wonders with other like beings brings gratitude upon gratitude. Everyone is my brother or sister.

And everyone shares the same sense of Life and of Love, deep inside themselves. By sharing, co-operating, caring, liking, playing, singing, eating & working together we help one another to awaken to our natural, innate Greatness. How wonder-full is that!

6. The wonder of Spirit.

That there is Being and Existence in boundless profusion is extraordinarily wonder-full! Even when I die, I live! All that is, Is!

The profusion of Life, around and within us, seen and unseen, physical and non-physical, now and eternally, fills me with unutterable awe and wonder. All is spirit. I am filled with immense humility and grateful wonderment!

7. The wonder of Everything.

That I see boundless wonders all around me, hear unspeakable wonders every moment, feel inexpressible wonders with every touch, sense immeasurable wonders with every beat of my being is truly wonder-full without end. I am totally immersed in a

wonder-filled world, embraced by it, subsumed by it, cloaked in it, fed with it and loved by it. Wonder upon wonders!

When I take just the slightest moment to pause in Man’s madcap race to nowhere, when I just stop for a second and look around me…..then, there, anywhere, anytime I become overwhelmed with the beauty and sacredness of all the wonders I perceive.

In that moment I cannot help but sing to the Divine I know lives in my Heart “How great thou art!”.

SOUL LIGHT – FIFTEEN

THE ORDINARINESS OF TRUE SPIRITUALITY

A spiritual organisation recently sent out an email stating “….on Sunday, October 24th we will celebrate the First Global Oneness Day. Although United Nations did not yet confirm this declaration, we want to start to Celebrate! We know that around the world there are 50,000+ people that want to join us…they have already signed our petition! We won’t stop there!….We are still adding names with a goal of 100,000 signatures!……

Goals? The United Nations? A petition?

I wrote to the organisation bemoaning what seems to me to be uncontrollable ego.

Surely, this is treating the natural state of Spirit (One-ness) as if it were an administrative army of people demanding their rights!

What nonsense!

One-ness is our Essence – we don’t need a bunch of politicians to authorise or approve it!

Their email then went on….”For this first Global Oneness Day, let us all do a little good for someone else…Bring a plate to someone living alone……pay the coffee for the person following you at your local cafe, keep the door open for a young mother struggling with her stroller, smile to a perfect stranger, compliment a colleague……the list could be very long….. Just a little gesture could make a huge difference!

Is this for real?

There’s now an OFFICIAL DAY when we can be KIND to one another?!

The Mind boggles with where the ego takes people!

When did Kindness go out of fashion?

What’s wrong with ordinary, everyday Kindness?

What’s wrong with ordinary people treating other ordinary people with ordinary everyday kindness, respect and courtesy?

What’s the difficulty with just allowing the Spirit Within to flow effortlessly, easily through our lives, allowing affection and harmony to wash through and between us all?

It’s surely Time for us to get real and to put our raging egos aside.

It’s surely Time to open doors for one another ordinarily.

It’s surely Time to smile at one another naturally.

It’s surely Time to compliment and support one another regularly – after all, we’re all brothers and sisters!!

It’s surely Time to become so ordinary that it’s no longer so extra-ordinary if we pay for someone’s coffee!

It’s Time to recognise the Divine Presence in our Everyday Real Ordinariness – and to live it!

SOUL LIGHT – FOURTEEN

ACCEPTING HAPPINESS

Most people don’t want to be happy.

Nor do they want to be unhappy.

Instead, they want to be happy with conditions.

In other words, when their demands are met.

This isn’t happiness at all: rather, it’s having our demands met.

Often, these are a demand on the Universe:

“I’ll be happy when I win the lottery”.

“I’ll be happy if that job comes through”.

“I’ll be happy when it’s summer”.

“I’ll be happy when I can buy that new car”.

Sometimes, our happiness seems to depend on other people changing:

“I’ll be happy if you’ll love me”.

“I’ll be happy if you come back to me”.

“I’ll be happy if you stop that”.

“I’ll be happy if you change your behaviour”.

Can you think of any ways in which you yourself rely on others for your happiness? Most people can think of dozens!

The truth is that neither people nor events are the source of our happiness – we are.

When we allow others – or external events – to decide if we’ll be happy, we’re surrendering into victim-hood.

We’re giving away our own Self-realisation and dis-empowering ourselves.

Our true happiness relies on nothing external to ourself but rather on our recognition and acceptance of Reality.

This isn’t really easy for any of us – it’s the end of being able to blame others for our everyday state of Mind – and the beginning of self-responsibility! After all, who really wants to be self-responsible when we can try to blame another for our woes?!

What is this Reality of which I speak?

It is that we are Spirit and Consciousness Itself. As such, it is not our circumstances that primarily concern us – but our responsiveness and attitude toward those circumstances. All is the eternal and absolutely safe play of life. All is joy.

All is an unfolding miracle!

Can you be happy right now, just as you are?

After all, just as you are, right now, you are a miracle of God!

Now, that should make you happy!
