Everyone loves ‘home’.
Those that have one, appreciate the roof over their head, the floor beneath their feet.
Those that don’t have one, yearn for one.
It can be a palatial palace or a simple hut.
In my teen years, home for me was under the steps of a Kings Cross pub.
It was still ‘home’.
Most still call their parents place ‘home’…
And many still call their place of birth ‘home’, too.
It’s in our genes.
But there’s a far bigger, far more expansive meaning to the term ‘home’.
Ultimately, ‘Home’ is in our hearts.
It’s where we came from: pure love.
And where we return to: pure love.
In this larger, more expansive way, the great bulk of humanity is homeless.
It doesn’t visit its home, its heart.
It doesn’t recognise its home, its heart.
And it doesn’t even know where its home, its True Heart, is.
The pump we use to get the blood around our body isn’t our True Heart.
The thoughts we have in our head aren’t our True Heart.
The rules and principles we live by have nothing to do with our True Heart.
Our True Heart, our Real Home, is that feeling of Oneness we sometimes get…..
When we bond together in a disaster.
During the slow-motion unfolding of a major accident.
When we experience the peak of an orgasm.
When we first empathise with a traumatic happening to some person or animal.
These are times when we take down the barriers between us and embrace our commonality of life.
Science calls it quantum entanglement: an example is if you were to separate two atomic particles by 1,000 kilometres and ‘spin’ one of them the other one will also start spinning instantaneously just the same.
That sense of commonality, of belongingness, is our ‘home’, our True Heart.
When we access it, as a group, awesome changes for the good happen…..
It happens in our own Spiritual Healing Prayer Vigil: our Prayer Partners have been able to achieve extraordinary healing outcomes for some people.
It happens when large numbers of people meditate together.
My good friend James Twyman proved that years ago with his group meditations during a period of Middle East upheaval.
Maharishi created seeming miracles in the midst of wars and chaos using
Transcendental Meditation…..
You and I can create seeming miracles ourselves.
But first we have to access the very Heart of the matter.
We need to reconnect ourselves to ‘Home’.
To the Heart.
That’s the secret……we first come ‘home’ to who and what we truly are….
To Love.
How to do that?
The answer is fairly simple:
smash down the barriers we have built to keep other people out.
Jew, Christian, Muslim, American, Canadian, Chinaman……
We are all simply people.
We are all the same.
We all have two arms, two legs, two hands, one neck, one head…..
We eat, we sleep, we play, we walk, we talk, we defecate and propagate, exactly the same as one another.
The same Divine exists within each of us, as us…..
And that is best expressed through the fullness of Love.
Start with the people you live with.
Then your pets.
Then the people you mix with.
Then the people you meet up the street.
Then the people at work.
Then the people you do business with.
Then total strangers.
(My workshops this year will share this process in much more detail).
Try this process and watch your heart open wider and wider and wider still.
Day by day, person by person, you’ll make your way ‘Home’……
To your True Heart.
Blessings,
Peace Be Within You!
