A TALE OF TWO OUTCOMES…..

165 years ago next month Charles Dickens published his famous and once-very popular novel “A Tale Of Two Cities”.
It opened with the prophetic words:
“It was the best of times; it was the worst of times….”

Since then, two terrifying world wars, over 35 other terrible wars, a catastrophic worldwide multi-year depression and seven major severe global recessions have ensured that life has been, at best, miserable and uncomfortable (at worst, traumatic and disastrous) for the vast majority of the inhabitants of this planet.

Sure we’ve had periods of peace and prosperity but most people have also experienced extreme trial and trauma.

We’ve enjoyed wonderful inventions and we’re advancing our technology a million percent but many have endured unspeakable horrors and hold immense fears for the future – economically, environmentally, socially, politically and personally.

The very real spectre of social collapse grips many millions of people today.

I don’t remind you of all this for fun: because it’s not funny.

Nor to depress you: we have short term memories to help us to generally avoid extreme depression.

But I feel obliged to warn (or remind) you that a tsunami is fast approaching that will affect the great majority of humans on the planet. It will significantly affect our economies, our societies and our security.

Why do I tell you this?

Simply so that as it unfolds you are prepared.

Prepared to hold your focus inwardly.

To keep your focus on your inner values and your true worth.

To stay committed to the true Spirit Within.

Each of us is physically composed of some thirty trillion cells plus a vast universe of other bacterial and viral cells.

Our bodies send to our brains some eleven million bits of information every second for processing. By contrast, just fifty bits per second are processed by our Conscious Mind.

So it becomes obvious that our inherent beliefs are absolutely critical in times such as these because most of us won’t have the luxury of great swathes of time to deeply debate “what should we do next?”……

(If you need a simple example just imagine you suddenly clearly see a ghost: you’ll probably scream immediately…… and then later try to discover if it might have been simply a white sheet……)

This is where Authentic Spirituality becomes vital.
It gives you absolute certainty in the face of distress and danger….. a hope that is so strong it transforms into faith.

How can you embrace such an understanding?

A controversial scientific experiment might best explain it…..

Many years ago, laboratory rats were placed in glass jars full of water.

They swam around for just a few minutes and then they drowned.

They had no faith in anything saving them…..

Other rats were then placed in the same jars but this time they were rescued, dried, fed and then put back into the jars of water.

They developed a certain level of hope that they might be rescued again so they swam a lot longer before they drowned.

Other rats were then placed in the jars but this time they were rescued multiple times, dried, fed some more – again and again – until they could dog-paddle and swim for well over an hour.

Their real-life experiences had given them hope.

Experienced hope.

Experiential faith.

So they didn’t simply give in, go under and die…..

Question: What are your own Inherent Beliefs?

Will they be able to sustain you in the challenging and transformative times looming ahead?

For your own sake, please consider that question seriously.

If you are happy with the strength of your beliefs, that’s great.

I applaud you.

If you aren’t strong in your faith (but rather simply hopeful) may I suggest you speak with your church or spiritual group so you can seriously strengthen your understandings.

If my own beliefs resonate with yours, great.

I shall be offering a series of video programs to help those who wish to more deeply embrace their inherent beliefs.

More next week.

(I am not, in any way, trying to convert anyone in any way – I simply encourage you to have absolute faith in whatever faith-process you personally choose).

Then, when the panic arrives, you will be able to respond authentically- without fear – from your entire body rather than only as an after-thought from your Conscious brain trying to quell your body’s fears……

Love and Blessings,

Les
