DOCTOR! DOCTOR!

Dear Friends,

Australians closely reflect the societal norms of the US:

  • 60%  have a chronic disease
  • 42% of middle-aged women report feeling burned out
  • 1 in 5 adults suffer from mental illness
  • 2 in 5 adults are overweight (1 in 3 are obese!

We also closely follow US medical practices so many of us are heavily medicated with a cornucopia of potions and pills not to mention doctors’ visits, specialists’ visits, hospital visits, etc…..

On top of that, a  plethora of competing diets, detox options and health fads along with a myriad of alternative supplements and exercise regimes and equipment further muddies the waters of everyday healthy living.

The more “health options” we have access to and the more new drugs we are exposed to the sicker we seem to get……

The more health services we create, the more specialists we train and the more specialities they offer, the less health we seem to display.

Now, this isn’t a medico-bashing exercise.

It’s a belief-bashing exercise.

The medical industry does all it can to help us.

But many of us have lost the ability to help ourselves.

We over-eat.

We eat too often.

We choose unhealthy foods.

We under-exercise (if at all).

Too often we stress ourselves.

Too often we think negatively.

Too often we think selfishly.

And too often we act angrily.

And then we rely on pills and potions, doctors and specialists to fix the problems these things cause.

Authentic spirituality is the ultimate repair process.

Only authentic spirituality is truly able to combat this ever- worsening tsunami of sickness and ill health.

I can think of only one greater reason to embrace authentic spirituality in one’s everyday life (and that is to live from peace, love, gratitude and kindness so that the world and all its peoples can heal and live together in harmony).

Think happy. Be happy.

Think care. Be caring.

Think gratitude. Be grateful.

Think peace. Be peaceful.

Think loving. Be loving.

Think kindness. Be kind.

Think helpfulness. Be helpful.

Think Compassion. Be compassionate.

Think One-ness. Be your true Self.

Think your body is a Gift from God.

Be appreciative.

Honour yourself.

Peace be within you.
